World Water Day - March 22nd, 2017

We called out to our community to gather at Lake Chapala's shore at 12 noon on Wed. March 22nd, 2017 to celebrate World Water Day, our sacred lake and the water within.  Our group was made up of conservationist, ecologists, academics, artists, musicians and fans.  A few of our group joined by just strolling through and deciding to be present.  In the end, our group of 12 turned out to be the perfect number and combination.

As the group gathered, we played music to the lake, honoring her and all her wonders.

We spoke of the work of Masaru Emoto.  Masaru Emoto (江本 勝 July 22, 1943 – October 17, 2014) was a Japanese author, researcher, photographer and entrepreneur, who claimed that human consciousness has an effect on the molecular structure of water. Emoto's conjecture evolved over the years, and his early work explored his belief that water could react to positive thoughts and words, and that polluted water could be cleaned through prayer and positive visualization.

We spoke of the structure of water and how this structure can purify and be created and transferred from one body of water to another.

Dr. Emoto visited the area of Mezcala to bless the lake.  We repeated Dr. Emoto's words as a prayer to the lake.
Water we are sorry.
Water please forgive us.
Water we thank you.
Water we love you.
Peace, Love and Gratitude

We read the local Legend of Queen Xochitl-Michi-Cihualli, Goddess of Lake Chapala.

And lastly, some of us took a dip in the lake.  The water was deliciously warm and wonderful.

To all those souls and spirits who joined us that day, we thank you.  And to our beautiful lake that gives us life, we promise to care for and nurture your existence.
