Jazz In The Garden at Huerto Cafe, Saturday Dec. 1st, 2018 from 6 p.m. to 9 p.m.

Our Jazz In The Garden event date arrived...with much flurry, anticipation and excitement

Our guests arrived right on time...and some, even early.
Everyone wanted to see Huerto Cafe all dressed up for its evening of Jazz.

The stylings of Trialogo greeted the guests at the door.

On the way to the magically lit dining room our new kitchen was on display.

Chef Charlie and his staff whipped up delicious appetizers and dinner.

Mexican Kale Salad was ready for our vegan and vegetarian friends.

Mexican Kale Salad, Bratwurst with Sauerkraut & Cambray Potatoes and Chicken Carbonara were on the menu for the evening.

Our friends from the Brigada in San Pedro Itzican peopled the information table.

Anna handled the register while Luis took care of the table.

Our luncheon time dining area was transformed into an early evening supper club.

Family and friends came to sample the new menu...

...As Gil & Yanin entertained us with their unique, samba jazz sounds.

As a special treat our Brigadista Xochitl surprised us all with a beautiful
song.  Xochitl is one of the music students in our San Pedro Itzican
program and is also learning to play guitar.

After dinner and a dessert of Kahlua Flan, Tommy Banks and the Soul Searchers
took center stage to whisk us toward the end of the evening.

Guests, staff, family and friends danced the night away.

We'd like to thank the following for their wonderful support.

Brigadistas must be enrolled in school or an educational program, provide mentoring to people in their communities, wear and maintain a uniform, and engage in support activities in local communities which, for example, include First Aid training and services, garbage clean-up, recycling, infrastructure maintenance and tree planting. The Brigadistas also mentor children to encourage educational and community participation.
