+++++++++++++ Huerto Cafe in Riberas Del Pilar - 6th Anniversary +++++++++++++

Huerto Cafe Turns 6 Years Old!

Amid the upheaval of our times Huerto Cafe has continued to provide
the community with the best food and ambiance in town.

We were given our clearance to re-open and were soon serving meals
at a distance, with strict safety measures in place,
to our hungry clients.

Dining room distancing...the new fashion.

Masks are a must for our crew.

The lovely gardens remain true...beautiful nature at lakeside is a constant.

Our anniversary cake was made with lots of love and chocolate
by Colibri Garden's Peter and Georgina.  Gracias!

Masks on and off for the photos

Chef Charlie's Food

First out is Chefcito's Mole Rojo or Red Mole.

Huerto's own Chef Charlie has started a new line of prepared foods
named 'Chefcito' Productos Artesanales.

For out 6th Anniversary celebration 'Chefcito' prepared a special
gift combo of Raspberry Jam and Garlic Butter.

Thank you speeches were given...
and then the Chocolate Peanut Butter cake
was enjoyed by all.

Like the annual rains that come every season
Huerto Cafe continues to be a constant, lovely haven
in Riberas Del Pilar.

Come by and enjoy our delicious food and beautiful garden setting,
all served with the warmest of welcomes.

Garage Sale on the 28th and 29th of February, 2020

Garage Sale on the 28th and 29th of February, 2020 to benefit Poco a Poco's FoodShare program.

We are busy gathering items for this Garage Sale event on 28th and 29th February, to benefit Poco a Poco's FoodShare program, but as we have some wonderful items for sale, we hope you will also be able to visit the sale on one of those days, to pick up some bargains!

The FoodShare Program is currently providing monthly dispensas (of food and staples) to 55 families in dire need in San Pedro Itzican, as well as to 49 patients suffering renal failure problems.  The program also funds and supports the kitchen which provides the after-school meal program that provides food to between 30 and 45 hungry children each school day.

This means we have to raise funds to keep us going through the summer months as these services are being provided for people in desperate need, with no other help available.

All the families involved with our FoodShare programs have to contribute back to the community, by assisting with local clean up projects, such as garbage collection and removal and keeping the main Brigada office and kitchen clean and tidy.  We also encourage them to take part in any of the programs that Poco a Poco provides in San Pedro (jewelry, knitting, sewing or hairdressing classes, work on the development of a vivero to grow nutritious foods, learn to bake, or join the literacy program or ESL classes), as well as attend workshops that are provided by different groups on site.

So we do hope to see you on 28th or 29th February 2020! - 153 Calle Manglar in Villa Nova, West Ajijic.

Regards,

Poco a Poco San Pedro
