Maestro Efren Gonzalez, Director of the Casa de Cultura, Ajijic put the finishing touches on the name of the on-going, recent theatre renovation project. He wanted the stage to be spectacular, and it was!
The Maestro also wanted the donation wall for the new theatre project to be as up to date as possible,
so he added recent member's names to the wall.

The art was delivered, sorted and hung. The contributing artists collection was impressive.

Local artesans also displayed and sold their work
In anticipation of the main event, the house started to fill and the audience to settle.
Backstage, the dancers were preparing.
The turnout for the afternoon was numerous...
and we could not have asked for a more responsive audience.
As the dancers took to the stage, the 4 directions were called.
Our friends traveled from San Cristobal in Chiapas to be with us this day. Sergio, his son Iker and Jaime are all accomplished performers and Sergio and Jaime, teachers.
After a strenous performance, a well earned meal is served by our lovely hostess,
Graciela from Sazon Restaurant.
Later in the afternoon young artist Jesus Eduardo was inspired to paint
and took to the wall to create his mural.
The feast continued...
...and then the dancers took to the plaza for a public display and foto opportunities.
Cultural Warriors
We want to thank Sergio, Iker y Jaime for helping make this such a spectacular evening.
